CHILDREN WELFARE PROGRAMS

Children welfare programs were started by Nava Kanthi for poor and needy children. Presently Nava Kanthi is helping around 650 children by providing them with home, food, education etc to help them grow holistically in all areas of life. Nava Kanthi is running following projects for children welfare.


Nava Kanthi Child Development Centers

Nava Kanthi started Child Development Centers in year 2009 for helping the under previleged children from slums and downtrodden communities to get the privilege of growing and learning in a school like environment.

Classroom

At these centers children get nutritious food, schooling,tutoring , educational materials like books, stationery, uniforms, shoes etc.

Nava Kanthi also helps these children with career guidance and socio-emotional development programs. Every child is given the opportunity to develop in all areas of life.

Playground

After School Programs

After school programs provide underprevileged children tutoring using teaching techniques. Nava Kanthi also conducts Adult Literacy Programs/Night Schools for illiterate adults, so they can learn to read and write. The main focus of these programs are to create awareness on the importance of education.

Through these programs more than 3000 children are given tutions to help them in their school education.

Roshini Children Homes



Roshini Children Homes were started from year 2005 for the children from very poor and needy families. Seperate homes are run for boys and girls in different locations.

The children are sent to good schools and are also trained in skills like computers, music , singing, sports etc.

Vidya - Higher Education Programs

Children who grew in the children homes are supported for University and Professional courses in different states of India. Some children after tenth grade are placed in residential colleges to continue their education and to get special coaching for prepartion of entrance exams.

Mercy Mission - Scholarships For Poor Children

Nava Kanthi supports poor children for school fees, school kits, uniforms, clothing, hygine kit, dry provision by providing them with monthly scholarships depending on the child requirements and family needs.
